What data is collected?

Tangoe wants its website to be a useful, user-friendly resource for its potential, and current, clients.  As such Tangoe uses common website technology, including cookies, to track and monitor some usage of its website, in order to improve user experience and understand the market.

Social Media Widgets and Applications

Tangoe’s website may include functionality to enable sharing via popular third party social media applications, such as LinkedIn, Facebook or Twitter. These social media applications will collect and use information regarding your use of Tangoe’s website, and are governed by their own privacy notices. We do not have control over, or responsibility for, those companies or their use of your data.

Communication Cookies

As well as the cookies we use on our website, we use cookies and similar technologies within some of our newsletters, emails and other communications.  We use these to monitor recipient actions such as email open, read or forwarding rates through embedded links within the messages. We collect this information to gauge user interest and to enhance future user experiences.  

Every communication from Tangoe includes the option to unsubscribe.  More generally, if you want to restrict or block this type of technology, you can do this through your web browser or e-mail programme settings by preventing automatic downloading. The ‘help’ function within your browser should tell you how.  Otherwise you will need to unsubscribe, as it is not possible for us to send these emails without tracking enabled.

Online Advertising

Tangoe does not deliver third party advertisements on our website but we may advertise our products and services on others’ websites. Please familiarise yourself with those website owners’ privacy notices to understand their practices relating to advertising, including what type of information they may collect about your internet usage. 

How long will cookies remain on my device?

The length of time cookies will stay on your device will depend on whether it is a “persistent” or “session” cookie.  Persistent cookies are stored by a web browser and remain valid until its set expiration date, unless deleted by you before then.  Session cookies, on the other hand, expire at the end of your web session, when the web browser is closed.

You will be prompted to set your cookie preferences on your first visit to our website.  We will record when you have consented to our cookie notice and shall ask for consent once a year to ensure users stay up to date with changes to our cookie and privacy notices. You can review and update your choices at any time by clicking on the preference centre icon. If cookies are rejected, the information collected prior to the preference change may still be used.  However, we will stop using the rejected cookies to collect any more information.   Strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled, nor can the tool be used to block cookies on third party websites linked from our website.

  • Web Browser

Many of the cookies used on our website and through emails can be enabled or disabled through your browser. In most instances you can set your browser to turn off cookies or notify you before you receive a cookie, giving you the option to decide whether to accept it or not. If you block, turn off or otherwise reject all cookies, some web pages may not display properly or you may not be able to complete tasks within service platforms, for instance, add items to your shopping cart, remember your preferences or use services that require you to sign in. 

  • California and Delaware “Do Not Track” Disclosures

California and Delaware law requires organizations to indicate whether they honor’s “Do Not Track” settings in your browser concerning targeted advertising. Tangoe adheres to the standards set out in this cookie notice and does not monitor or respond to “Do Not Track” browser requests.
