In it is a complete list of the exceptions where our team needs information for invoice processing. Missing allocation or cost center? You can take care of it right there. You can also choose how many notifications you receive daily, letting you handle exceptions in the way that works best for you. As a dedicated exception handling hub, Data Requests provides more of what you want: visibility, simplicity, andcontrol. 

In addition to submitting updates directly via the Data Requests user interface, you can download a pre-populated template, fill in the highlighted fields, and upload it again – great for bulk updates. From there, the system syncs instantly. Everything is live, visible, and confirmed in real-time.  

There are two main roles for this new service: 

  • Administrator: Has full visibility into all pending requests and can set up notification preferences for the team. 
  • User: Sees only the requests assigned to them and can customize their own notification settings. 

Getting started is simple. To access this new service, simply submit a support ticket to Tangoe letting us know your user role (Administrator or User) and who you would like to receive Data Request access. Once you’re set up, you’ll receive a link to start using the Data Requests dashboard inside Tangoe Home. From there, you can jump right into managing requests in real-time. 

Exception Scenarios: Examples  

Every data request you receive ties back to a specific scenario. You’ll see what triggered the exception and what Tangoe needs from you to keep the invoice moving. 

Here are some common scenarios our customers encounter.  

  • Missing Allocation Code (MAC): A line item is missing a cost center or general ledger, or the one listed is inactive or invalid. You’ll see a prompt in the dashboard to provide the correct cost center or GL, or to activate or create a new one. 
  • Remit Address Mismatch (RAM): A vendor’s remit address doesn’t match what’s currently in the system. You’ll be prompted to confirm or update the address directly in the form, or request to reactivate or add a new one.
