This week, we head to Indianapolis, IN to speak with Katie Nehrenz, who was recommended, by many of her fellow Tangoeroos, to be a guest.
Katie joined MOBI in 2013, and began as an Account Specialist, and has since served as a Service Delivery Manager, as well as a Client Services Manager. Currently, she is Tangoe’s Director of Operational Enablement, where she oversees the creation of various content and materials to help Tangoe’s Service Delivery teams work smarter.
To help improve our clients’ experience, among other responsibilities, Katie manages internal tools like Lessonly, our Learning Management System, as well as ProProfs, a knowledge management software.
We spend a good portion of the conversation discussing Lessonly, and the reasons why it is such a valuable internal resource. We also discuss parenthood, including the challenges that come with raising a four-year-old son; and of course, we talk about the culture in the Indianapolis office, including how Katie feels we have/are handling the Tangoe/MOBI integration.
Here is my conversation with the very cool and very organized Katie Nehrenz. Let’s all learn from her.
Some Closing Thoughts
I’d like to highlight something that Katie said in the episode that stayed with me: “When it comes to reaching our learners through tools like Lessonly, it’s difficult sometimes to get people to really apply themselves to learning and truly engage with the content. Sometimes, we have such a busy culture here, that’s it’s hard for people to stop and invest in themselves and in their roles.”
Hopefully, this episode allows you and all of us to pause, and really think about what she said.
Remember, this show is intended to be a tool for Tangoe to discover our culture, but it’s also an avenue in which to learn more about our business and the roles of our colleagues. If you enjoyed the episode, reach out to Katie and tell her why. Also, don’t forget to check out Lessonly.
Lastly, if you have something you’d like share with our listeners, consider being a guest. Simply reach out to me, and we’ll make it happen. Of course, I’d love to talk culture with you, but I am also interested in hearing about your contributions to our organization.
