This week’s episode features Mike Iong, Tangoe’s Director of the Corporate Program Management Office (CPMO). Mike and his team of five other Project Managers, as well as eight members of the Client Triage Project Management team (led by Nick Zembruski), all reside under the IT department, which is headed up by Mark Troller, our CIO.
Mike works from our Parsippany, New Jersey location and has probably one of the best smiles I’ve ever seen. Mike exudes positive energy and continues to influence and impact Tangoe, both internally and externally, as he leads projects and initiatives across multiple departments.
We discuss many topics in this episode, including Mike’s love for Brazilian jiu-jitsu, his relationship with his children, an incredible story of how he met his wife, the influence of his Chinese ancestry, his direct involvement with the Tangoe-MOBI integration team, as well as the current culture and vibe inside the Parsippany office.
Also, there’s an interesting twist at the end of the episode, where Mike pulls a switcheroo, and he becomes the interviewer and I become the interviewee.
Here is my conversation with the extremely optimistic Mike Iong. Let’s all learn from him.

As Mike and I mention in this week’s show, we plan to do a special “Flipping the Tables” episode where Mike becomes the host and I become the guest.
