If I learned anything from hosting this podcast—throughout the 23 episodes so far—it’s that nurturing a positive workplace culture is a constant effort, hence the title of this week’s episode.
Way back in season one episode two, when I interviewed Chrissy Pfeiffer, from our Indianapolis office, about two months after the MOBI acquisition, we learned about the incredible value of a culture committee.
You cannot just expect your organization to maintain a healthy level of morale without putting plans, people, and initiatives in place to help foster a positive culture and improve the employee experience. That is one of the many influences of the MOBI acquisition, as we now have a culture committee in place at every Tangoe location. Again, it takes effort. Culture is a living thing.
I am very happy to feature today’s guest: Sam Araujo, Tangoe’s Internal Communications Specialist, who works from our Parsippany, NJ location. As you listen to the interview, pay attention to all of the initiatives that Sam is either leading or contributing to; it will make you wonder if she ever sleeps! But truly, Tangoe is lucky to have someone who is so dedicated and so driven—someone who is super aware of the importance of culture.
In this fun yet insightful conversation, Sam and I discuss the origin of this podcast, some important ongoing projects and initiatives, the goals of the culture committees, and where she hopes to see us in the next year.
Here’s my conversation with the talented and hard-working Sam Araujo. Let’s all learn from her.
About the Podcast
How does Tangoe—a global organization with over 2,200 employees in 11 countries, who has acquired several organizations throughout its nearly 20-year history—maintain, nurture, or alter its collective company culture? Can it be done? Before answering that, an organization must first discover its culture as it currently exists—without judgement. And that’s precisely what this podcast aims to do. Join us as we rediscover Tangoe’s culture through a series of candid interviews with employees, industry analysts, clients, and more. Learn more about the podcast What is Culture?
