Tangoe’s CommCare Management Platform (CMP) is a comprehensive suite of application modules designed specifically to provide visibility and management tools for reducing communications expenses and improving fixed and mobile processes across an enterprise.

CMP is a standards-based, object-oriented software solution leveraging familiar and accepted operating systems, data technologies, and Internet technologies. CMP was developed in Java, using open, industry standards. At its core, CMP is built upon standards-based web server (J2EE) and relational database technologies. Utilized by Fortune 1000 companies with complex environments spanning national and international regions, CMP is recognized as an extremely powerful and scalable solution capable of local, enterprise, or global deployments.

cmp architecture

A state-of-the-art Web-based enterprise application, CMP is an n-tiered system utilizing a common four-tiered pattern that includes client, Web, business application, and database tiers. To support rapid customization of client solutions, Tangoe uses a DHTML behavior library while the CMP client tier uses XML, XSL, behavior/HTC, JavaScript, HTML and other technologies.

CMP is typically licensed and installed on the client premise however, because of its Web architecture, it can be deployed by Tangoe in an ASP environment. A strategic component of CMP is its industry knowledgebase, containing nationwide tariff and rate data. Although CMP is typically hosted locally by the client, the CMP knowledgebase remains centrally hosted on Tangoe's servers to ensure consistency and accuracy of its extensive, dynamic rate database.
