Albert Subbloie, President & CEO, Founder
Recognized as a telecommunications technology and Internet pioneer, Al Subbloie brings a visionary approach to Tangoe. In 1984, after leaving Andersen Consulting, Al co-founded and served as CEO of Information Management Associates (IMA). Al was among the first to develop and market both call center voice and data solutions for integrated sales, marketing, telemarketing, and customer service activities. He guided the growth of this market leading company to more than $50M in sales, and more than 300 customers in seven offices worldwide.

In 1997, Al co-founded Buyersedge.com, an Internet company in the field of reverse auction. Al is credited with one of the patents for reverse auction theory, the leading Internet paradigm in most shopping sites today (Ensera acquired Buyersedge.com.) Al also founded Freefire, a web enabled e-CRM customer interaction software, supporting email response, chat, and remote telephony in an ASP model involving complex data distribution requirements (Freefire was subsequently acquired by Teletech Holdings).

Al served on the board for Acsis, Inc., the leading provider of RFID device management technology solutions (which, under Al’s leadership, was sold to Safeguard Scientific in Dec. 2005) and currently serves on the Board of NYC-based Operative Inc. Al has also served as Chairman of the Connecticut Technology Council (CTC) and now serves as a Board member for the CTC. As president and CEO of Tangoe, Al has led the vision of the company to become the leading software provider in the Telecom Expense Management (TEM) space. Prior to IMA, Al received a degree with honors in Economics from Trinity College.

 

Richard Pontin - Chairman
A proven executive with more than twenty years of leadership experience in high performance technology companies, Rick Pontin brings a strategic, results-oriented focus to Tangoe’s new Board of Directors. As Chairman of Tangoe, Rick is uniquely qualified to help the company achieve aggressive growth goals while staying focused on accelerating Tangoe’s leadership position in the market.

While President and CEO of TRAQ, Rick was responsible for driving TRAQ's strategic direction and leadership in Mobile Lifecycle Management. During his tenure at TRAQ, revenues increased more than 250 percent and the company achieved industry recognition as the best-of-breed provider of Mobile Lifecycle Management Solutions.

Prior to TRAQ, Rick served as Chief Executive Officer of Ionex Telecom, an Integrated Communications Provider serving the Southern US. He successfully led a turnaround of the Company's operations and subsequent merger with Birch Telecom. Prior to Ionex, as President and COO, he led Broadwing Communications through a period of significant expansion, growing revenues 60 percent to over $1 billion in less than two years. He also served as President and COO of Cincinnati Bell and was instrumental in the launch of DSL services and integrated service bundles.

 

 

Gary Martino - Chief Financial Officer
Prior to Gary joined Tangoe as its Chief Financial Officer in July 2007, Gary was an active board member and advisor to Tangoe, utilizing his extensive corporate development, financing, and M&A experience working with Riverside Advisors, LLC and helped Tangoe (among others) develop and implement its business plan and secure funding. Gary has been a key executive on the management team at a time when Tangoe has completed a merger and experienced considerable growth.

Prior to Tangoe, Gary co-founded (with Al Subbloie) and helped develop Buyersedge.com, an Internet reverse auction company focused on high-end consumer goods. At Buyersedge, he secured an equity investment round of $10 million and helped build the initial company from start-up mode to over 65 employees. He later negotiated and assisted in the merger of the company into another B2B Internet company. Prior to that, while serving as the CFO of Information Management Associates (IMA), he helped transition the IT services and software company (which he also had helped start and grow beginning in 1984) into a leading enterprise software company focused on call center automation. He was instrumental in raising private equity (totaling $15 million) and bank funding (over $10 million), taking the company public in a $50 million offering, completing three acquisitions, and helping to manage the growth of the company to over 350 employees and $50 million in revenue.

Prior to 1984, Gary worked with Arthur Anderson and Company as a senior consultant responsible for software programming and project management for accounting and decision support software for Fortune 500 clients.

Gary received his BSBA from Georgetown University in 1982 where he majored in accounting and computer science.

 

Craig Gosselin - Chief Marketing Officer
Craig is responsible for offer management, marketing, and communications at Tangoe. A leader with more than 20 years of experience, Craig has successfully led business units, marketing, and sales organizations in corporate, venture capital, and private equity environments. He has worked with leading brands in technology, financial services, and consumer products while also having managed large global operations teams.

Prior to joining Tangoe, Craig held multiple senior marketing and sales positions. These include serving as Chief Marketing Officer at NewStep Networks, a technology leader in fixed mobile convergence, and Chief Marketing and Sales Officer at Velocita Wireless. Velocita was a Cerberus Capital portfolio company and a leader in wireless data networking that was successfully sold to Sprint Nextel in 2006, representing a significant increase in value. Prior to joining Velocita, Craig served as Vice President of Sales and Channel Marketing at Virgin Mobile USA. He joined the startup company prior to market launch and led the development of the distribution network and Virgin Mobile presence at over 30,000 locations, resulting in 2 million new customers. Previous to Virgin Mobile, Craig held the position of Senior Vice President at American Express. In this role, he led a 1000 person sales and service organization that had responsibility for service strategy, new account development, and product development. From 1986 to 1998, Craig held multiple leadership roles within AT&T, directing large sales, product management, marketing, and service organizations.  In his last assignment at AT&T, he led the international consumer long distance business where he had profit and loss responsibility for a $3.5 Billion business unit.

Craig received a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a M.B.A. degree from the University of Houston, both with honors.

 

Albert M. Rossini - Executive Vice President, Global Sales & Marketing
Al has over twenty-five years of experience in multiple high technology sectors managing a diverse range of sales and marketing programs. Most recently, Al served as the Senior Vice President of Sales and Services for HSS, Inc., a healthcare software developer focused on coding, compliance, and reimbursement solutions. Al managed the revenue generation and customer retention teams to an accelerated growth period resulting in a successful company sale to the largest HMO in the U.S. Prior to HSS, Al served as SVP of Sales and Marketing for Elcom International, a software development company that launched the automated procurement market's first remotely hosted solution. Other roles have included managing both national and international campaigns for significant industry names such as Nynex and Digital Equipment Corporation. Al has experience as a senior sales manager with several high technology startups including Axil, Inc., the designer of the industry's first highly scalable Intel-based server. Al holds a variety of technical accreditations and numerous industry awards earned through strong sales performance.

 

Paul Schmidt - Senior Vice President, Product Development
Paul brings over eighteen years of experience in software and e-business systems development and implementation to the Tangoe team. He is responsible for Tangoe's product direction, development, and technologies. Most recently, Paul played a pivotal role at Buyersedge.com as vice president of technology, where he managed the strategic direction, design, development, and operation of the production site. Prior to Buyersedge.com, Paul was vice president of application development at IMA, Inc. where his team was responsible for the design and construction of IMA's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) suite of products. Paul has extensive systems implementation experience with telecommunication service providers such as ATT, NYEX, GTE, US West, SBC/SNET, and Cincinnati Bell among others.

Prior to IMA, Paul was with Andersen Consulting where he worked on many systems and process reengineering engagements in the manufacturing, defense, and aerospace industries. Paul is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts with a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems.

 

Scott Snyder -Senior Vice President, Managed Services
Scott was formerly Chief Operating Officer or TRAQ Wireless, Inc., and was instrumental in driving software development, customer operations, professional services and product deployment. He also played an important role in the development of TRAQ's offerings within the mobile IT lifecycle management space. Scott brings over seventeen years of experience in software development to the Tangoe team. Prior to TRAQ, Scott was with Austin-based Trilogy Software, Inc, where he led product direction and development. Scott was instrumental in driving revenue growth at Trilogy both in North America and Europe. Prior to Trilogy, he held several technical and managerial positions at IBM in Austin.

 

Robert Whitmore - Senior Vice President, Professional Services
With over twenty years of technology, telecommunications, and operations experience, Robert brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Tangoe. As Senior Vice President of Professional Services, Robert oversees Tangoe's strategic sourcing,  bill audit, and strategic consulting professionals.  Robert’s team routinely saves Tangoe clients millions of dollars in telecommunications expenses.

Before joining Tangoe, Robert was general manager of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) for META Group, where he acquired the region's independent distributors, driving sales growth and improving profitability. As GM, Robert built an EMEA telecom expense management services practice, which incorporated benchmarking, contracts, and research. Robert also served as META Group's CIO, implementing enterprise software applications for ERP, CRM, and web content delivery. From 1991 to 1998, Robert was responsible for the technology and network infrastructure for General Reinsurance, managing the companies LAN and WAN capabilities on a global basis. Prior to that, Robert worked for Kraft Foods and General Electric, where he graduated from GE's Information Systems Management Program.

 


Charles Gamble , Senior Vice President, Business Development
Charlie brings eighteen of years experience to Tangoe, leading the professional services organization and playing a lead role in some of the company's most important consulting engagements. Prior to developing the initial vision for Tangoe, Charlie served as president and COO for a large consumer electronics Internet retailer, selling satellite TV systems and telecommunications equipment over the Internet.

Earlier, Charlie launched the ISP division for Progressive Concepts, Inc., the largest independent cellular reseller in the United States. He also created and launched prepaid cellular and prepaid long distance product lines and engineered a B2B ecommerce strategy for the company's wholesale division. Charlie's telecommunication background goes back to 1984 when, following the AT&T divesture, he created, built, and eventually sold a data communications company. Charlie earned his MBA from the Wharton Business School.


Chris Mezzatesta, Senior Vice President, Sales
Chris was formerly Vice president of Sales for TRAQ Wireless Inc. where he was focused on growing TRAQ’s lead in providing compelling Mobile Lifecycle Management solutions to the marketplace. Chris has over fifteen years of telecommunications sales experience. Prior to TRAQ, Chris was Vice President of Sales at ControlPoint Solutions for five years. During his tenure at ControlPoint, Chris’s team was responsible for bringing in over 400 of the Fortune 1000 as new customers. Chris spent twelve years at TSR Wireless, which at the time, was the fourth largest paging carrier in the US. Throughout his tenure at TSR Wireless, Chris developed and managed a sales force of over 1,000 employees in three nationwide distribution channels, and was a member of a senior management team that increased company revenue from $30 million to $350 million in eight years.

Chris received a B.A. in Economics from the University of Maryland and an MBA in Strategic Management from the Lubin School of Business at Pace University.


Doug Castro, Senior Vice President, Government
Doug Castro brings more than twenty-two years of supply chain, asset management, and telecommunications expense management (TEM) experience to Tangoe, applying his extensive knowledge of sales and highly successful track record to Tangoe’s federal services initiatives.Management from the Lubin School of Business at Pace University. Doug previously held executive positions at Avexus, Inc., Profitline, and Manugistics, Inc. where he personally engineered the largest supply chain management software deal in the industry. Prior to his career in sales, Castro served as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force. He holds a degree from the University of Oklahoma, and is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt.
