The MDM Server assigns specific permissions to individuals within your business with pinpoint accuracy. Pre-defined security roles (and the ability to create customized roles), are configurable with more than 100 granular permissions; each security role can be assigned based on information from your corporate directory. In addition, the assigned permissions can apply to a limited scope of users:
- Risk is reduced when security roles are assigned to specific settings, servers, and users, providing the enterprise with automated control of who sees what.
- Policy management automatically configures device settings and password controls based on information about the user/device.
- Application management features control which applications and application versions a user can install and use, ensuring that corporate data on the handheld is accessible only by business-approved applications.
Tangoe MDM security features provide centralized cradle-to-grave remote device access:
- Users and administrators can remotely wipe enterprise data from lost, stolen, or retired devices, or remotely “wipe and kill” the device entirely.
- Device activity and MDM activity is centrally logged, providing a complete audit trail and full visibility.
